Flora and Fauna

The Sinharaja (literally meaning Lion King) rainforest is home to many endemic Sri Lankan trees and plant life. There is also a myriad of animal species such as the native purple-faced leaf monkey, torque macaques, grey langurs, many exotic butterflies and birds inclusive of the 26 that are endemic to Sri Lanka.
